Jesse + Kimmy
11.02.14
I met Laszlo while in university and over the last few years we’ve been able to room together, backpack and live, at separate times, in the country of Turkey. We even share the same timing when it comes to proposing to our fiancés, as I proposed to Kimmy just six hours after he proposed to Lindsey. Neither of us even had a clue that the other was going to propose at that time. Laszlo’s wedding date is May 30th.
The first time I met Alex was when we both visited the country of Turkey for a week to decide if we wanted to live there longer. About a year later we did move to Turkey and he ended up being one of my better friends. He was there from the beginning of the relationship with Kimmy and as I progressed through it. He’s also been a good friend to share life with over the last 2 years.
We got to know each other in college and seem to create interesting stories all around us. Whether it's sharing a room our first time in Turkey, taking a group of international students on a road trip, or winning dancing competitions at weddings, the excitement follows. Jake is currently living in Spokane and working for Boeing, but still has a great heart for people and the world to know Jesus.
I first met Jake when we began the University of Idaho in the same department of Landscape Architecture, he being the only other Christian in my classes. Though he ended up switching majors to teaching, through college we climbed and backpacked together, as well as summited Mount Rainier in Seattle, Washington. Jake is married to Kaylee and currently teaching at a public school in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Ben, the brother of Kimmy, I met when he and his family took a trip to visit Kimmy in Turkey. We spent the week touring around the city and spending Christmas together. Currently he is in his senior year at Bethel University in Minnesota.
I met JJ in Minnesota when I visited Kimmy's family for the first time about a year ago. While in Minnesota we were able to enjoy things like fishing and tubing together. Then for Christmas he and his family came to Turkey to visit Kimmy. While in Turkey we were able to tour the city for the week and even loose JJ and his sister in a taxi for a bit.

"I'm smiling because you're my sister, I'm laughing because there's nothing you can do about it." Thanks for being the best big sis- for putting up with me and joining me in living life without inhibitions. The last 10 years we've traveled miles to explore whatever land the other is in, relating and supporting each other in overseas experiences. I couldn't do it without you! Dancing through life with you is my favorite, because when I'm with you it's perfect, and we're "so perfect together!"
ILYNMWBFFLMFEO. "I love you no matter what, my best friend for life, meant for each other." Soulmates since sophomore year of college, Kelsey has been the encouragement and side-kick any girl would dream of. She always knows exactly what to say for all of life's ups and downs. While sweetly loyal, she thrives with challenge and is currently getting her masters in leadership at APU while pursuing her dream of managing the Hollywood Chick-fil-A.
I cannot count how many sleepovers I've had with this girl!!! Besties for life (evident via millions of long distance phone calls and text messages), Steph is as dedicated a friend as she is a triathlete, student teacher, and spiritual mentor to young women. Being that we both found our "match made in heaven" when i moved to Turkey, we joke thinking God had to create some distance between us in order for a man to have a chance!:)
It was 4th grade at Grace's traditional Family Camp when Ellie and I bonded over secret knocks, card games, and pickle chips. Since then, Ellie has been exactly what our shared middle name interjects: Joy! I have literally laughed so hard with Ellie that I fell off my chair! In High School we lead a Dgroup of Jr.high girls together, and to this day, her love for the Lord inspires me. Ellie runs her own hair salon called "beauty in the basement"- the only reason for why my hair looks so good!
C.A.S.T. "Cousins always stick together." Growing up with Michelle, imagination had no limits. Our childhood was always filled with hope and possibility, and this has merely matured into conversations today in which Michelle always encourages me to dream God's best for my life for His glory. Currently she is following her own advice by getting her masters in architecture and design. I can't wait to see how God uses this gifted woman for His Kingdom!
I've only met MaryCarol on Skype, but I look forward to meeting her in July when I visit Jesse's family in Idaho! Already we have common threads of sharing a love for basketball and Mexico. Plus I hear she makes awesome homemade tortillas, so I hope she makes me some gluten-free tortillas when we meet:)
