Kimmy Joy Wahlquist

Born September 28, 1989 as the second eldest of four kids, Kimmy grew up embracing many cold winters in Minnesota (consuming many steaming cups of Caribou Coffee) and living for the summers of  water-skiing on one of  its beautiful 10,000 lakes.

Both parents worked at Grace Church so she was involved in ministries right from the start, her volunteer debut being in one of Grace's spectacular nurseries:)

In High School she played basketball, sang in choir, ran track, and lead dgroups for middle school girls.

For college she opted for sunny southern California, attending Azusa Pacific University where she had regular attendance at the beach and Disneyland.

Her passions for other cultures and the lost was greatly stirred as she actively engaged and lead groups of students to serve in Mexico.

Graduating May 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a double-minor in Theology and Biblical Studies, Kimmy pursued her life-long calling to go overseas and has spent the past two years working with refugees and leading worship at her fellowship, which is where her and Jesse's paths collided.
